Well… I have started a law firm. Yes, it may seem ambitious, a little scary too but hey, why not? Introducing, Art & Commerce – Lawyer and Trade Mark Attorneys.
What does art and commerce mean?
- The intersection between artistic endeavours and commercial interests?
- The relationship between creative expression and economic activity?
- The interplay between intellectual property rights and commercialisation of those rights?
All of the above, and it’s a commercial and intellectual property (IP) law firm.
We practice commercial and IP law across a range of industries and sectors, based in Melbourne, Victoria.
It’s a simple idea – providing clients with personalised legal support for individuals, start-ups and existing businesses on a case-by-case or ongoing basis, and building a professional relationship as trusted legal advisors. Details of the types of commercial and intellectual property services can be found on our website. As our name suggests, we also specialise in trade marks law.
Another aspect of what we do is provide in-house type legal services to individuals and businesses who don’t need a full-time lawyer (yet), but require a go-to person for legal advice and services on a regular basis.
Many clients have told us that they often delay engaging a lawyer because they either don’t know who to turn to or simply don’t know where to start. We get it. We listen and then advise, helping clients navigate the complex intersections of commercial operations, business transactions and intellectual property rights.
We offer guidance on strategy, risk analysis, regulatory requirements and how to leverage and protect our client’s intellectual property rights.
